| Bella Center Restauranter A/S is aware that the production and preparation of food and drinks account for a significant share of the overall CO2 emissions for our conference guests.
Therefore, the following initiatives have been implemented:
• Conference guests and meeting participants are offered filtered, chilled tap water to save having to dispose of 100,000 plastic bottles a year
• The coffee is organic and Fairtrade-certified
• Disposable materials (plastic glasses and coffee cups) are made of biodegradable material (PLA)
• The electric cookers in the main kitchen have been replaced with town gas cookers
• Food waste is ground, dehydrated and transported directly to a biogas plant, thereby reducing the amount of waste for incineration
We advise our customers on sustainable menus. We recommend:
• Using fish from Danish waters, if available
• Using Danish poultry and pork
• Using many vegetable dishes made from Danish, organic seasonal vegetables
• Using organic bread and Danish dairy products
• Limiting the use of disposable plates and plastic glasses and instead use porcelain and real glass
